System Types

Quite often heating engineers talk about different types of boilers or layouts, ie combi, regular or system, the diagrams below will hopefully make this a little clearer when determining what type of system you presently have and what type of system you are hoping to have.

System boiler layout - low pressure hot water cylinder

This type of layout is also suitable for use with an unvented hot water cylinder, the picture for this layout is not currently available but is similar in configuration except there is a cold mains feed direct to the unvented cylinder which would be in place of the hot water cylinder and there is no need for a cold water storage cistern with an unvented cylinder.
